Draw a Square Fractal Snowflake Materials. Paper. Pencil (not pen). Ruler or measuring tape

1. Draw a square. Divide each side of the square into three segments of equal length.

2. Draw a square pointing outward, whose base is the middle segment of each side as marked in step 1.

3. Erase the middle segment you used as the base of the square you just added.

4. Repeat steps 2 through 4 as many times as you like.
